About Us

Founded in 1819, the University of Cincinnati is one of the oldest institutions of higher learning outside of the original 13 colonies. The university is categorized at the highest level of higher education, as a Doctoral/Research University – Extensive by the Carnegie Commission, which recognizes the notable achievements of UC’s faculty, research, novel curriculum, and program accreditations.

The University of Cincinnati continues its pioneering ways with online programs that connect students with a dynamic community of dedicated educators, accessible research, and a devoted student support team.

In 1998, the University of Cincinnati created the College of Allied Health Sciences. The college is the 16th college at the university and the first new college at the University of Cincinnati in over thirty years. The College of Allied Health Sciences educates and prepares future allied health and other health science professionals to provide high quality service in their respective fields. The college is located in the French East Building on the Medical Center campus at the University. The new home brings all the allied health programs together on one campus. The College faculty is committed to excellence in teaching, research, service, and leadership.
