ONLINE BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT

Accreditations

The University of Cincinnati is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), a Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.*

According to surveys of prospective HIM students, accreditation is among the three most important variables for adults choosing any Bachelor‚Äôs of Science in Health Information Management program, along with program costs and the availability of the program via distance learning. Regional accreditation is the type of accreditation awarded to the nation’s largest and most prestigious public and private colleges and universities. All public, state-funded universities in the United States, including the University of Cincinnati, are regionally accredited.

Aside from regional accreditation, the BS HIM program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM**).
