Health Information Management (HIM) Program Information

This RHIT progression program builds on the knowledge and skills acquired through prior education and experiences. Graduates of this program are eligible to take the RHIA certification exam and have consistently exceeded national pass rates.

  • Students can enroll anytime throughout the year for each of our three starts: Spring, Summer, or Fall.
  • Distance learning experts have developed the curriculum so that regardless of the term you enter the program, you can graduate in as little as 9 terms.

Bachelor’s in Health Information Management Degree Objectives

The successful completion of the program should result in the development of the following:

  • Knowledge and skill set for taking the RHIA Certification Exam
  • Requisite professional knowledge, skills, and competencies fundamental to the health information management profession
  • Self-directed learning skills using a variety of resources and technologies

    How many weeks is 9 terms total?

      Hello Molly,

      Thanks for your interest in our HIM program! Our program is actually 6 terms total and each term equals 14 weeks so that would be 84 weeks total spent in class. If you have any further questions I am happy to help.
