In 2005 I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Professional Communication from Elmhurst College (a private liberal arts college outside Chicago). I then enrolled at Loyola University for a bit and made the move to Florida and finished up my Master’s in Nonprofit Management at the University of Central Florida. It was a long journey for me but I had the fortunate experience of attending both a traditional and an online program to complete my education. I quickly realized how important student support was to me. It is from my experience that I strive to help students feel comfortable starting school and help them through out the enrollment process. I truly love problem solving with my applicants, helping them apply, and providing support so they feel like a part of the student body no matter where they live.

I am finishing my A.S. HIT degree at Santa Barbara City College. Please advise how many of the courses at SBCC will transfer to your institution. How many of your courses will I need to take? What is the timeframe, and cost. Thank you.

      Hello Cheryl,

Congratulations on earning your AS degree! As long as your AS degree is CAHIIM accredited, which I believe SBCC does hold accreditation, then we will accept the entire degree for transfer and you will come in at the junior level. You will take 20 classes with us, along with the practicum, and this program takes 6 terms to complete (2 years). The total cost for tuition (as of 3/14/2012) is $26,100 in state and $27,000 out of state. I hope that helps. Please call me if you have any further questions or if you would like to apply to our upcoming semester.

    Hello,

I am currently enrolled in Rasmussen College for HIT program. I will be graduating from the program in March 2013. I looked all over the UC website on when is the earliest admission for the HIM program.

Do you know perhaps when the earliest students can apply for the HIM program? Thank you.
